Overview Wild Grown Blue Cypress Essential Oil Our lovely Blue Cypress essential oil from Australia has a unique, refreshing and delightful aroma that is sweet, fruity and woody; it can be employed as a fixative in floral compositions and compliments precious wood accords, colognes, incense notes and fruit accords.
Callitris columellaris (formerly known as the synonym Callitris intratropica) is an evergreen (coniferous) tree native primarily to coastal Australia, with columellaris referring to its columella, the small pillar of woody tissue at the heart of a Callitris seed cone.1,2 An essential oil, sometimes called 'Australian Blue Cypress' oil in the trade, is extracted from this species that finds use in perfumery, cosmetics, and aromatherapy.3 The oil of Blue Cypress has long been used for incense and in skincare by some mainland aboriginal groups and by the Tiwi people of Bathurst and Melville Islands, northeast of Darwin, Australia.4
Blue Cypress oil would not be blue were it not for an experimental distillation that took place in the 1990s.5 Apparently this oil only turns blue when the heartwood and bark are co-distilled; color variations from greenish-blue to cobalt blue are observed depending on the ratio of the two.6

375 Essential Oils and Hydrosols, Jeanne Rose, 1999, p. 51. Aromatic Profile: Sweet, fresh, fruity, mildly licorice-like, balsamic aroma with a resinous, faintly smoky undertone; has good tenacity and fixative properties.
Appearance: Very blue, transparent, rather viscous liquid. Turns semi-solid in cool temperatures, but easily becomes liquid with gentle heat.
Use: Aromatherapy, Natural Perfumery.
Blending Suggestions: Essential Oils, Absolutes and CO2 extracts are highly concentrated. This product is soluble in both fixed (carrier) oils and 190 proof alcohol; not soluble in water. Blends Well With: Amyris, Bergamot and other Citrus oils, Black Pepper, Cardamom, Cedarwood, Chamomile (Roman), Cistus, Clary Sage, Cypress Leaf, Fir (Balsam), Frankincense, Geranium, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Juniper, Labdanum, Lavandin, Lavender and other floral oils, Lemon, Lime, Marjoram, Myrtle, Neroli, Oakmoss, Orange Blossom, Patchouli, Pine, Rose, Rosemary, Sandalwood, Spruce, Ylang Ylang.
Safety Considerations: If you have a medical condition or are taking medication, please consult with a physician before use. May be fetotoxic. Avoid during pregnancy or breastfeeding.2 Dilute before using. A patch test should be performed before use for those with sensitive skin.

純露保存期：
純露是比較穩定的，加上出廠的時候會在嚴格的消毒條件下灌裝，所以在不開封的前提下，只要正常存放，可以按標示的保質期來使用。
保存方法：
放置於陰涼乾燥的地方，避免陽光照射。使用後要蓋緊瓶蓋，避免純露內有效成分揮發。
瓶內有“東西”：
如果是聚合物/絮狀物，搖一搖會散開，就是正常現象。

精油保存方式
- 精油一定要存放在具有遮光效果的深色玻璃瓶中，減少紫外線的照射。
- 勿用塑膠瓶存放精油，會破壞精油品質。
- 台灣天氣潮溼，精油開封後請盡早使用完。
- 可置木盒存放，確保精油品質。
- 勿將精油存放於潮濕環境或直接曝曬陽光下，以避免精油變質。
- 精油要放置乾燥、陰涼的地方，於25℃常溫下環境(精油無須存放冰箱)。
- 為了避免幼童誤食或誤用，請存放在幼童不容易拿到的地方。
精油注意事項
- 精油限外用不得口服。
- 不可高劑量且經常使用。
- 請放置於幼童不易拿取之處。
- 體質敏感者，使用前先進行敏感測試。
- 眼睛、內耳及黏膜部位切勿接觸精油。
- 精油的揮發性高，使用後請將瓶蓋轉緊。
- 請勿混用不同廠牌精油，以確保精油效果。
- 芳香調理方式建議由專業芳療師指導使用。
- 精油建議勿使用過量，避免導致反效果，甚至對身體造成過大負擔。
- 氣喘患者建議不要採用蒸汽吸入法，請用作調養，不要在發病時使用。
- 精油易受到光和熱而影響到品質，請將精油放入遮光瓶中並在冷暗場所保管。
- 避免使用塑料、易溶解或油彩表面的容器稀釋精油，請使用玻璃、不鏽鋼或陶瓷器稀釋。
- 蠶豆症、低／高血壓、癲癇患者及孕婦、嬰幼兒請勿使用。如需使用請先參考相關資訊或是請教專業醫師。
